CAMINADE CAFERACER ESPRESSO is the new realization entering to CAMINADE's Catalogue 2016 and the second after CAMINADE LA GRANDE MOTTE to be orientated for a city use. The emblematic brand based in the South West of France (close to Perpignan) designed and produced all its frames in France with steel tubes from Columbus, Reynolds and their own Caminade Osborn Aerospace grade set of tubes.

The CAFERACER ESPRESSO is a wink to the Café Racer Culture. The café racer spirit is born in the 60's, in the motorcycle culture, and mainly define a motorcycle where all extra and non-usefull elements ae definitely removed to keep the vehicle light personalized and easy to handle. Those motorcycle were used to ride from café to café on brand new highway built in United Kingdom, or to participate to "café racer", also named "record-race". The aim of those races was to start the race from a café and ride to a predetermine point and to come back to the café (starting point) before the song running in the juke-box ends. The distance was generally studied to allow the fastest motorcycle to run till 100mph (160kmh).

Designed for a city use, the CAMINADE CAFERACER ESPRESSO, is really pared down and simple : no extra cables or wires, no derailleurs...you just sit on the saddle and focus on the road.
Handmade at the headquaters of CAMINADE in France, the CAFERACER ESPRESSO steel frame is made of Caminade Osborn Aerospace grade set of tubes and features horizontal dropout as it is singlespeed only. It has a 44mm headtube to set up tapered and non tapered fork (1"1/8). The bottom bracket is  BSC-BSA type 68mm threaded.

The frame is only compatible with singlespeed transmission, but as you can see below in the various set-up proposed by the brand brand, that you can either built your bike like a pure singlespeed, a fixie, with a 2 speed rear hub or even like an Ebike thanks to the ZEHUS Engine.
