CYCLES VICTOIRE « DE VILLE » – CUSTOM CITY BIKE

CYCLES VICTOIRE DE VILLE by its own name defined well its main orientation. DE VILLE meaning CITY....well nothing related to DEVIL !
Launched in 2011, based in Auvergne, Cycles Victoire firstly designed and produced rear hub and sprocket for single-speed riders.....but then the activity evolved and now they are doing famous steel frame and complete bikes. All bikes and Victoire Fork are handmade in France mainly  from Columbus, Reynolds and TANGE steel tubes.

CYCLES VICTOIRE DE VILLE have to reflect your personality, the bike is adapted to you and personalized upon your request after many conversations with the Cycles Victoire design team. DE VILLE urban bikes are bespoke. They are made of Columbus Zona / Life, Reynolds 853 or TANGE Prestige steel tubes : regarding your needs and your riding style,  they will advice you on the best steel series to use for your build. The method use to build the bike is by fillet brazing , the advantage is not to overheat the tube so it prevents to loose the original characteristic of the steel.
The real advantage to get a tailored bikes is that the geometry and sizing perfectly fit your body geometry and by playing with the length, the diameter and the thickness of the steel tubes they will provide reactivity, comfort, rigidity, handling to your machine.

CYCLES VICTOIRE DE VILLE is developed in the spirit of traditional city bike for commuting with light, fenders, racks in the front and at the rear but not only. If you consider usual city bikes being to soft in their use, CYCLES VICTOIRES can design a personalized DEVILLE. You can imagine it as a pretty light fast single-speed or really versatile and ready to hit the tarmac as well for light muddy track : a perfect combination of city and gravel spirit...nothing is forbidden !
Many options for the transmission are available : Alfine, Nexus or Pinion Gear box, singlespeed, regular chain or belt. You can get integrated front and rear rack with or without integrated lights

The bike shown on photos below is developed in a pure city spirit with an integrated handmade front rack, a reliable Shimano Alfine 11 speed gear-hub with rear and front disc brakes. The fork, made with Reynolds fork blades, is handcrafted and built to give extra comfort. The frame, with a tinny triple triangle,  is made of Columbus steel tubes with nice curved seat and top tubes and also S-bend chain-stays to allow enough room for the mount of the Curana C-lite fenders. Take a look at the stem...a very nice Victoire made of steel.

Daily commuting : target is to have a very reliable machine with low maintenance. Transmission: a belt (Carbon Gates) coupled with a Shimano Afine 11 speed. Front and rear lights are integrated and powered by a front dynamo hub SON with particular SON SL fork dropouts that ensure the electrical contact. The front integrated rack is designed to welcome a laptop. A lots of components have been integrated to the bike with a particular attention to details to find the best fitting place. Frame is made of Columbus steel tubes : Max, spirit and life and designed to be a reactive machine.

This CYCLES VICTOIRE DE VILLE has the particularity to be designed to be efficient for a city use as well in light muddy track. The frame, bespoke, is built from Columbus Life steel tubes. Hope rear hub and a SON front dynamo hub that provide electricity to both lights (SON edelux light)  but also the USB plub based on the top of the headset !
