VICTOIRE MTB is the simple code name given to all the tailored mountain bikes produced by CYCLES VICTOIRE. This fresh French brand born in 2011 and based in Auvergne, started it s activity by designing and producing rear hub and sprocket for single-speed riders.....but then the activity evolved and now they are doing famous steel frame and complete bikes.
All the frame VICTOIRE are handmade in France with steel tubes mainly from Columbus and Reynolds.
CYCLES VICTOIRE MOUTAIN BIKES are made of steel tubes set from Columbus, Zona and/or 29er or Reynolds 853, those are the main series dedicated to MTB. Regarding your needs and your riding style, they will advice you on the best steel series to use for your build. The method use to build the bike is by fillet brazing , the advantage is not to overheat the tube so it prevents to loose the original characteristic of the steel.
100% tailored and handmade, they only produce hardtail dedicated to XC Racing, XC Marathon, Trail, Adventure, All-Mountain 120mm or rigid Enduro bike with a 140mm front suspension. To cover all the possibilities and practices, all wheels diameters are available (26", 27.5", 27.5+, 29" or even big boy 29+ ! ).
The real advantage to get a tailored bikes is that the geometry and sizing perfectly fit your body geometry and by playing with the length, the diameter and the thickness of the steel tubes they will provide reactivity, comfort, rigidity, handling to your machine. Maybe you already have your measurement, otherwise you can choose to be helped by VICTOIRE CYCLES or visit one of their "Bespoke dealer".
As a basis, the head-tube is 44mm to set up a tapered or non-tapered fork. The bottom bracket is standard with a BSA 68mm but you can go to a PF30, PF24, PF92.. as an option. As well for the seat-post, it starts on the paper with the comfortable 27,2mm diameter (Integrated seat-clamp) or 31.6mm, both diameter accept suspension seat-post (Thomson for the 27.2mm).
For the transmission, many options are available like gates (check carbon gate drive) coupled with a Rohloff speedhub, a simple singlespeed, a classical but effective derailleur or an innovative PINION gearbox or EFFIGEAR gearbox !

About the paint, there are 6 colored clear coat available (black, ruby, cobalt, sulfuric, green, copper) but any possibility can be studied as an option.
