SOBRE SAGZERO steel fork 2016, designed in France - Beaujolais, is back ! There are not so much steel rigid fork on the market and some of us request a front rigid fork to fit their singlespeed steel MTB, to transform their MTB to participate to CX race in the winter or in a sort of commuter....but maybe to simply keep their MTB simple as possible and ride it full rigid ! Well the SOBRE SAGZERO steel fork 2016 is back and feature small but important improvement that you cannot not liking it !
Created in 2007, SOBRE has launched the first SAGZERO Steel Fork in 2008 at the same time that the SOBRE bike range. The first model was for 26" wheels and IS disc mount but also ready for cantilever till 2012. In 2011 the SAGZERO for 29" is launched together with the SOBRE DAD (29"). Made of Cromo Double Butted, disc mount PM only and QR 9mm axle, SOBRE keep it on the market till end 2015.
The 2016 SOBRE SAGZERO steel fork is the result of 7 years of evolution. Still made of Cromo Double Butted, the steerer tube is 1"1/8 to fit in most of the headtube but preferably on a 44mm headtube with an integrated or an external headset. The fork is not anymore compatible with 9mm QR axle but only with 15mm thru axle (not boost) and this is a very good news as most of the riders use this standart on their front wheel. There is a serious improovement on the paint quality, it is now powder painted with an anti-rust treatment.
How large ? well the fork is announced to be compatible with 29"...and 27,5+ (maybe 29"+ depending on the tire but the high should allow to fit one). It offers 90mm front spacing to set up easily 27,5x3.
The fork will be available in March 2016.
Does SOBRE has a 27,5"+ bike on it range ?...not yet...will soon speak about an interesting prototype
