BIG BLOCK – MODERN TRACK BIKE BY ALL-CITY – FLIP/FLOP

BIG BLOCK is  a modern track bike, made of steel, developed by ALL-CITY-CYCLES. The goal of this American brand, based in Minneapolis, is to contribute significantly to the equipment and the culture of urban cycling. A company of riders making products for other riders. They have, and share, a lifelong passion for the machines, the people who ride them, and the positive changes both can effect in this world. Their range is composed of Track Bikes, Road Bikes, one Dirt frame and mainly CX/Cross bikes.

The BIG BLOCK features proprietary 4130 double-butted CroMoly tubes, called "612 Select ChroMoly steel". They are used for down, top, and seat tubes. The frame is equipped with great looking All-City horizontal dropout with adjustment screw that allows the use of quick release wheels. The fork is also made of Cromo 4130 with a 1"1/8 steerer.
What makes the difference between usual track bike and the BIG BLOCK ? Even if it is designed as a competition track bike, it is developed to be used outside of the velodrome. Delivered with 28cc tires, you can set up tired up to 32cc, when for regular track bikes max is 25cc.  The complete bike is delivered with one front brake, but the the frame is drilled at the front and rear to set up a pair of brake if you need. The hub is a flip-flop so you can choose if you prefer to ride fix or free with a 17T sprockets (only one sprocket is delivered). And last little point that differs from an original track bike : there is a set of water bottle mount.
Transmission is composed of a 46T chainring mount on the AllCity 165mm crankset, and a 17T at the rear. Most of the components set up on the complete bike are from the All-City components brand.
Like for most of steel frames, the BIG BLOCK receive an E.D coating treatment to prevent it from rust.

BIG BLOCK is available as a complete bike in two colours, Gold and Azure White, or as a Frameset (fork + frame) in Azure White. 6 sizes available : 46-49-52-55-58-61 cm.
