ALL-CITY CYCLES all road bike Mr PINK is PINK for 2016 ! Because it has not always been the case. Mr PINK is available as a complete bike or a frameset (frame + fork). It can be describe as an all road bikes, a kind of cool bike that can do almost everything. The geometry is the one of a classic racer but it has features and characteristics that prevent Mr PINK to stay stuck on the tar. The rear tire clearance is a way more than expected on a classic road bike, you can go up to 32cc without fenders (28cc with fenders). It opens you to extra possibilities, so you can easily jump from the classic road to a light gravel path if you want to change of horizon. The frame is made of Columbus ZONA that is usually used for MTB or GRAVEL so do not expect Mr PINK to be an extra-light steel bike. It will not make you the first at the climb, but for sure with this all road bike made of steel Columbus ZONA you'll be confident in the dirt.
Well, it is not a cyclocross, it is not a light racer bike, and it is not a pure gravel. But it can do a little bit of everything : it's a worthwhile compromise.
Go for 28cc tires to ride it as a road bike, go for 32cc tires for commuting and light gravel. Keep in mind that brakes are "U road brakes" and does not offer a large clearance as Cantilever brakes.
About the equipment, the group-set is mostly from SRAM RIVAL 22. 1170 sram cassette 11 speed (11-28) and sram rival 22 crankset (50-34), and full Sram rival 22 for both dérailleur.
Wheels are DT Swiss R24 Spline 24 hole (18mm internal rim width - weight max.110kg) front (760gr), 28 hole rear (965gr) and tubeless ready (with tape). Those wheels are designed for a mixed of flat and climb but also cyclocross, that's confirm the orientation of Mr PINK as an All Road bike.
