SINGLE BE - ENVE 29er is the last complete bike built by Tomas, owner of SingleBe. This bike is going to be used by Mr Radek Kaftan who is a Czech famous personal trainer. He is, for example, the personal trainer and advisor of Leopold Konig - Team SKY and Kristian Hynek - Topeak Ergon MTB team (Kristian is distributing ENVE in Republic CZECH, this is the why of the ENVE equipment on this bike).
As always with SingleBe, this bike is unique, no pre-based frame or collection, it is fully born from its customers need and the expertise of SingleBE.
This SingleBe - ENVE 29er is going to use as a trekking bike and not really as a pure MTB. This is why this bike features a different set up from we usually see on an MTB. The gear ration is pretty large with the use of a versatile SHIMANO XT FC-M780- 48/36/26 and a 10 speed cassette Shimano XTR 11/36 to face all situations from flat road - light trail to climb high percentage and go down hills.
If you take a closer look to the Shimano XT left crankarm, it is pre-assembled with a a bluetooth powermeter from the brand STAGES CYCLING (USA) , an unavoidable feature for a personal trainer !
Front and rear dérailleurs are Shimano XTR Shadow plus M986 for the rear and Shimano XT FD-M781 3x10V at the front combined with XTR Shifters. Brakes are Shimano XTR M9020 Trail with 160 rear and 180mm front ice-tech rotor.
As this bike is mainly going to be used on light trail, path, road... the front fork is a full Carbon Rigid Enve Mountain Fork (680gr - 15mm axle). We can continue with a listing of those very nice Enve components : Mountain STEM Enve (92gr) - ENVE Sweep bar (189gr) - ENVE Seatpost (204gr) with a Hope seatclamp. Wheels features of course ENVE M50 Tubeless ready rims 28 holes but the complete built is personalized with the German hub builder TUNE with the TUNE Prince rear hub and the PRINCESS FRONT HUB....high end product from Germany.
GEOMETRY
SPECS
The geometry is bespoke and based on the result of the RETUL Body Fit system for Mr Kaftan. SingleBe has also adapt the length, the thickness and the profile of each tube to provide reactivity, comfort, rigidity, handling to this machine according to its customer needs. It is built from Dedacciai Zero Evo steel tubes for the rear triangle and Reynolds 853 for the front triangle, the headtube is tapered. The frame is about 1,8kg and the complete bike around 9.5kgs including XTR pedals.
The colour is mainly blue and the black colour that you can see on the inner side of the rear triangle and the chainstays is metallic to fit with the Enve Mountain Fork hose clamp. As even small details count, stem spacers are also painted in metallic black.
