SingleBe Classic 29er is the last handmade frame from SingleBe - in Czech Republic. As always this frame builder does really nice work. It looks pretty classic, but it use many modern standard in mountain biking to be efficient and many tips to be really an elegant bike. This frame is for a customer living in the The Netherlands, probably this is why this MTB frameset is a full rigid as the country is quite flat, many MTB event does not really request a suspension (many riders are using CX bikes).
The main colour of the SingleBe Classic 29er is a very nice "Steel blue" with a touch of "Oranje". "Oranje" means orange in Dutch, this is a very important colour for this country, if you take a look to any world Championship for example all Dutch athletes are wearing sports jersey with this colour....and the same for their supporters ! This colour come from a long story as a time ago with The King "Willem Frederik van Oranje-Nassau", the Dutch flag was Blue - White - Orange, during the revolt against the Spanish domination. The Orange has been replaced by the Red in the 17st century mainly because it was more easy to see it in the sea (Dutch are well-known great sailor).
The goal of this frame-set is to be as much elegant as possible. Not so much cable outside...it is fully internal cable routing even for the front disc brake which will go through the left leg of the SingleBe Rigid fork. Yes the fork is created by SingleBE with a constant pivot of 1"1/8 with an axle of 15mm ... same for the design of the rear wheel axle (135x10mm) made by SingleBe. Tire clearance is quite important 29x2.4 and the disc rear mount is designed for a 140mm rotor.The seat-tube of the SingleBe Classic 29er is bend to provide a really dynamic frame with only 425mm chainstays. And of course the frame is made of steel.....Reynolds 725, 4130 CrMo stays !
