SingleBE presents his latest steel bikes project : SingleBe Rohloff CDX 29, MTB 29 "Rohloff with Gates belt drive. As always, 3 points are crucial to the design of a belt frame. The frame must be an open type "to insert or remove the belt", perfectly aligned to prevent twisting from the belt and have a pretty solid rear triangle.
SingleBe Rohloff CDX 29 is designed for trail-sport. It uses a CDX GATES belt system and the hub is a Rohloff 500/14 (German manufacturing). The goal is to create a bike that requires the less service possible in terms of transmission.
The Rohloff hub is a rear internal gear system, it is placed in a permanent oil bath contained in a completely sealed body from all aggressive outside elements.
It is pretty easy to adjust the tension of the belt, simply by sliding the rear wheel thanks to a 3 bolts system.
The front suspension is an EPICON Suntour prepared by "Milan Slanci tuning-test.cz" in 110mm. For the components, the assembly makes use of simple and reliable components from ZTR, Ritchey or SPANK.
