Steel 29er is an extremely versatile steel frame designed by STOOGE Cycles in the UK. The brand is named after the American group "The Stooges" from one of the two singers is the well known Mr Iggy POP.... and the brand is in the philosophy of the group : being an outsider and doing your own things despite what is hot and in vogue at the moment.
Steel 29er is a full rigid FUN frame designed to bring you handling, comfort, ability to ride fast whatever the terrain...with an affordable price.
Manufactured from aircraft grade 4130 chromoly by Taiwan’s most respected frame builder, the frame features an EBB for foolproof chain tensioning and geometry adjustment. We are far from the idea to have "the bike of the years awards" as the philosophy of STOOGE to design a bike for life is really far from this. It has been designed with the idea to be able to turn the Steel 29er into a bike ready for long adventure with a flat or drop bar, a mountain bike in 29" or 650B+ wheel size, even in a great looking urban cruiser ! The development has been complex to have all this in one !
Of course for each idea coming to your mind, urban cruiser, mountain bike, off road gravel, single speed, adventure bike, 650b+ or 29" the set up will be different to make sure it works fine. And this is where STOOGE Cycles play an important role : every bikes / frame-set are sold after a process of communication to define the kind of bike you want to ride. STOOGE Cycles have an expertise in the Steel 29er and know exactly what set up you need for it.
The frame-set (frame + fork + EBB tensioner) is available in 3 colors : 1 main color (blue) and 2 in limited edition (up to 30 for each) at each production. Now those limited colors are Radberry Magenta and Pale Olive.
