HOPE, the famous English brand of Barnoldswick unveiled on its stand during the Eurobike 2015, a beautiful cassette which will be available for sale mid-January 2016. This cassette is a  “long term development project". Based on the confidential steel DH cassette, HOPE products range offers two (not to say three or four?) new cassettes: A 10-speeds and an 11 speeds cassettes. (see pictures at the bottom of this page).

The first part is constituted of seven sprockets (10-12-14-16-18-21-24) machined in a single piece of hardened stainless steel. This is the masterpiece and you will understand, by the use of hardened stainless steel, that it is strong and resistant ready ride over time (and probably it was long tested in wet conditions under an unpredictable "English weather" ).

To "expand" its cassette to 10 and 11 speeds, same principle. The machining takes place in a solid billet, but this time Aluminium. For 10 speeds: 3 sprockets (max 40 teeth),  and for 11 speeds: 4 sprockets (max 40 or 44 teeth)

You can imagine that the smallest sprocket of 10 cannot take place on an usual freehub body ( Shimano 10/11). It will request to use the freebhub from HOPE with HOPE PRO hubs EVO2 or Evo4. Now you just need to wait for mid January 2016!
