PUKY BIKES Z série, z2 - z6 and z8 are dedicated to kids and made of steel in Germany. PUKY, based in Wülfrath - Germany, produce and sells bikes Since 1949. It is more than 100 team-worker,  that annually produce 550000 vehicles a year (2.000 – 3.000 vehicles per day) thanks to a modern production equipment. PUKY produce children’s and youngster’s bikes, learner bikes, unicycles, scooters, go-carts, tricycles and accessories.

PUKY playfull bikes Z2, Z6 and Z8 are the 3 kids bikes that remains to be made of steel as the rest of the kids bikes range propose by PUKY BIKES are Aluminium models. They are respectively equipped with 12", 16" and 18" wheels and are all 3 pretty simple bikes to ride develop around the idea of being a fun bike, reliable and providing security. Whatever size, those frame share the same low-step main front tube which makes it easy to get on and off the bike : a pretty important point to help our little girls and boys to feel comfortable and safe by quickly putting foots on the ground in case of emergency stop. It also prevent to hurt to painfully the crotch.
Each of those steel kids bikes is delivered - equipped with a PUKY security kit that includes mudguards, foam handlebar protection, bell, reflector...

In a market where branded kids bikes prices have incredibly increase in bike shop for no reason according to poor and/or non useful specs, you can find 12" bikes between 229 - 359 euros...16" bikes starting at 259 euros, PUKY bikes prices are relatively affordable, from 169 to 179euros) even morewhen you know that the brand announce to keep spare parts on long term.

The first and smallest playfull kids bike from PUKY is the Z2, perfect for kids starting 3 years old - 95 cm. If your child does not feel so comfortable at the first time, you can remove the pedals and lower the saddle to the maximum to turn the Z2 to a learner bike. THe Z2 features mudguard, a rear rack, bicycle stand, singlespeed transmission with back-pedalling as a rear brake and a caliper brake at the front with adjustable brake lever suitable for children's hands. There is also a chainguard to prevent from any injuries with the transmission.
Bell, reflectors, Crash pad (foam)...are part of the security pack delivered with the bike. It seems there are no supporting wheels delivered with the Z2, but many accessories and also replacements parts are available from PUKY like a learning aid.

It is the second steel kids bikes of PUKY, 16" that perfectly fit kids around 4/6 years old starting 105cm. Like the Z2 it is Singlespeed with a full chainguard to prevent any injuries with the transmission. The Z6 is a simple and reliable bike that features mudguard, a rear rack, bicycle stand, back-pedalling as a rear brake and a caliper brake at the front with adjustable brake lever suitable for children's hands.
Bell, reflectors, Crash pad (foam)...are part of the security pack delivered with the bike. Many accessories and also replacements parts are available from PUKY. It looks likes they keep spare parts available on long terms, so if you have 2 kids, or more, it is a reliable bike to pass from one child to another.
Like the Z2 and Z8, the Z6 is compatible with supporting wheels.

Third and last steel kids bike from PUKY, 18" that fit kids around 5/7 years old, is not my favourite size mainly because of wheels size standards  relative to tires, i personally prefer to jump from 16" to 20" as 16" can go till 7years old. But as PUKY keep spare parts available on long terms, it should not be really a problem to get 18" tires in case of.
The Z8 keep it simple with a singlespeed transmission with a full chainguard to prevent any injuries with the transmission. It is a reliable bike that features mudguard, a rear rack, bicycle stand, back-pedalling as a rear brake and a caliper brake at the front with adjustable brake lever suitable for children's hands. Many accessories and also replacements parts are available from PUKY like pannier, flag...
Like the Z2 and Z6, the Z8 is compatible with supporting wheels.
