STEELIST CRANK – CUSTOM AND HANDMADE IN GERMANY

STEELIST CRANK is a German crank handcrafter. Launch few months ago, Daniel has started producing one and unique stainless steel crank made on his own just for the pleasure to create something unique. A friend of him set up this prototype on a bike project...after few pictures on forum, Daniel started to receive inquires for individual custom cranks. This how STEELIST CRANK is borned !

The choice to use stainless steel to built its custom cranks come from the wish to create a highly rigid and timeless modern crank. Thanks to the use of this material there are no risk that the crank rust or corrode due to scratches or an impact with a rock. After a hard riding season you can simply polish your crank to make it looks brand new. Crankarms are welded pipe with 1,5mm wall thickness are machined on CNC.
The left crankarm is embed itself in the axle guided by a clever system of 5 cylinders, made of stainless steel, that insure zero play ( 0.012 mm less than a single hair 0.04mm), when the main screw come to tighten the all set. The right crankarm is with the axle built-in, and you can set it up with different spiders, 1x or 2x and with different BCD.
There are 4 types of finish available : polished, brushed, sandblasted and a new raw finish : heat-threated.

About crank rings available, STEELIST CRANK is working in Partnership with GARBARUK and can set up your crank with all the range of the brand, but you can also mount any ring that answers to usual BCD standards...or not because Daniel also develop 100% tailored crank.

STEELIST CRANK has recently developed his website, in German only for now, and a Facebook account where you can find pictures and details about its products. As STEELIST CRANK range of products grows pretty fast and also by the fact that he can built 100% tailored crank, not all are already available on the website and i will detail you what is on for now.

This customizable spider propose a double chainline in a unique spider. You just need to swith the side of the spider to pass from 1 chainline to the other. For example one side can be 49mm for Sram 1x11 or 54mm for 29+. No additional parts needed. But as it is 100% built on demand, you can request your one double chainline ! Raw heat-threaterd crank arm finish on those following pictures with the double-chainline spider.

100% HandMade of stainless steel, this spider in only designed for a single ring drivetrain. Compatible with Shimano or Sram 1x11 or 1x10 drivetrain, BCD is mainly 104 or 64 with a chainline of 49,5mm but as this spider can be tailored to your needs, if you need a specific BCD like for example 102BCD for Shimano XTR and why not a specific chainline, it is available on request, just contact Daniel.
Finish are sandblasted or polished for a price of 89 euros.

HandMade from Aluminium, this spider is only available in BCD 104 with a chainline of 49,5mm. Compatible with Sram or Shimano 1x11, the finish is coloured : Anodized Blue, Black, Red and Green.
Price 69 euros.

STEELIST CRANK is evolving fast. As Daniel built also custom crankarm it comes sometimes that he have to do brand new designed. To answer its most common request he will propose within a month brand new "standard" option. As always, those will be 100% tailored if requested (arms length, Q factor....)
